The Adventures of Rick and Jack

The Adventures of Rick and Jack

The Adventures of Rick and Jack is an illustrated children's book and is a true story in the beginning that turns into a dream in the end.  I am a chiropractor and my patient Jack is 8 years old.  I would adjust his spine once a month and we would talk about school and work.

We decided that the life of a beach bum might be better.  For me it meant no work.  For Jack it meant no early wake up calls from his mom loving him in the morning.  No showers, no breakfast, no toothbrush and no school.  This would be the life!

Jack dozes off to sleep that night.  At his appointment earlier with Dr. Rick they talked about taking off in the middle of the night like super action heroes and landing on Waikiki Beach.  They spent the whole day collecting some really cool coral and a few pieces of lava rock.

It doesn't take long for Jack to realize that maybe what he had at home and school wasn't so bad after all.  This is a great story that teaches kids the value of a hot shower, breakfast and a toothbrush and that there is no place like home.

A fun story written with a sense of humor and a great way to teach little people gratitude for some of the important things in life.

In Joy reading The Adventures of Rick and Jack
